Visions of the Past

Monticello United Methodist Church is involved in an interesting, exciting and educational event hosted by the Monticello Community Historical Society. You will not want to miss this!  Many members of MUMC are also members of the Historical Society and will participate in this event by acting out roles involving Monticello's history.  This event will take place in the old cemetary across the road from the chapel as well as include a tour of the chapel for anyone interested.   Following your tour, gather under the beautiful shade trees outside the beloved MUM Chapel and enjoy some refreshments.  Parking will be available in the church parking lot.   For more information about Monticello Community Historical Society, visit them on their web-site: www.monticelloks.orgh    Date & Time Saturday, September 29, 2012.  Tours at 9:00, 10:00 and 11:00am and again at 1:00, 2:00 and 3:00pm.  Event ends at 3:30pm.   Location Old Cemetary across from the MUM Chapel and the Chapel itself.    Cost Adults $5.00, Children $3.00, Children under 5 FREE.   Registration Information: No registration necessary.  Just show up!  If you have any questions, contact Cindy Ashby at cindy.ashby@getgod.info or call the Historical Society at (913) 677-3706.
