Shop and Serve

Make it your mission "To Serve" in 2013!  Join the Mission and Outreach Team in February to "Shop and Serve" at Grand Avenue Temple's Lazarus' Boutique.  We need you as a "Personal Shopper" to assist a homeless Sojourner with shopping.  The Boutique provides clothing as well as personal hygiene items to anyone in need.    As a "Personal Shopper" you will assist with ensuring each individual is supplied with the correct-sized clothing as well as getting needed personal items.  You as a "Personal Shopper" also provide dignity for the Sojourner who will have your undivided attention for a few moments.   Seven to ten adult shoppers are needed.  Upper age high school students may volunteer provided they are accompanied by a parent.     Date & Time Saturday, February 16th, 2013.  Meet at MUMC at 9:30am to carpool. We should be back to MUMC by 1:30pm.   Location Starting with carpool at Monticello United Methodist Church, followed by trip to Grand Avenue Temple in KCMO.   Cost Free, just show up!!!   Registration Information: At church: Check for information at Connection Point in Fellowship Hall or call the Church Office, (913) 441-1435..
