Serve as a Sunday School Teacher

Monticello United Methodist Church's Sunday School teachers are dedicated to giving the children of this congregation the best Christian education possible.   To continue this tradition, we are working hard to ensure that there is one teacher and one assistant per class.  This will give teachers the back up they need, and it is also an important part of the Sacred Gatherings guidelines.   You do not need to have teaching experience to be an assistant, and there is no preparation work that needs to be done.  You just need to be able to:   Assist with crafts (i.e., help children with the use of scissors) Take children to the bathroom when needed Calm down children who get a little rowdy Assist children who have special needs We are asking that you sign up for a month at a time from 9 - 10am.  If you can do only a month or two, that will still be a big help.  We need assistants for these grades August 2012 through May 2013   Pre-school through kindergarten First through third Fourth through fifth With your assistance, it is going to be a great Sunday School session!   Kathy Isaacson Christian Ministry Coordinator   *Important note to parents: As part of Sacred Gathering guidelines, we are asking all parents to pick up their children in the downstairs area of the church after the 9am service.   Date & Time Ongoing from August 2012 through May 2013.    Location Monticello United Methodist Church Downstairs classrooms   Cost A few moments of your time each week   Registration Information: At church: Register at the connection point any Sunday By phone: Call Kathy Isaacson in the office at (913) 441-1435 By email: kisaacson10@gmail.com   ************************************************************************************************************
