Monticello United Methodist Church is excited to host a live concert by the the Asante Children's Choir, a group from Rwanda, Africa. The concert will feature traditional African music, Christian vocal music, and high energy drumming and dance, all in traditional dress. These children, ages 7-14, come from an orphanage in Rwanda and have seen civil war, fighting, and illness, yet they bring incredible hope. Jesus said, "Come to me with the faith of child." The evening is sure to inspire us to remember that hope exists through education, perseverence, and faith. The mission of the United Methodist Church is make disciples of Jesus Christ and transform the world. The mission of Asante is to care for those in poverty in the poorest communities in East Africa. Join us as we all work together as a diverse community to end poverty for children.
